When they were still little sprouts, three sisters went to Thune’s grove to ask the Godess to settle a dispute between them:

They wanted her to judge which of them had the most beautiful voice. But since they were fueled by envy and ill will, their vibrant voices failed them when they came face to face with divine Thune and instead of lovely songs they sputtered shadowdust to the heavens.

Henceforth they are humbly lingering in front of the entrance to Thune’s realm, longing for their lost voices – a warning to all creatures who seek this place with ill intentions.
